Although many might think it is appropriate mostly for a baby boy room, it actually can be gender neutral depending on the specific blue and green tones that you choose. A sweet baby blue or lavender paired with pastel green is perfect for a modern baby girl's room. As a rule, try to steer away from the heavy dark tones of blue even for a baby boy nursery. 

 

Wall Color for Blue & Green Nursery

Once you pick your tones of blue and green, start with the overall vision of how you want the colors to be distributed in your nursery. Do you want a blue background or would you rather have pastel green walls as the perfect backdrop? An alternative is to make one of the walls stand out by coloring it different than the rest. For instance, if you paint all the rest of the room in pastel green, color the wall where the crib is going to be positioned in baby blue to further emphasize the focal point. Another option is paint the walls in blue and green stripes to create a greater visual interest.
